Default Question about body kit with lowering springs?

Is anyone running a body kit with a 2" drop lowering springs. I would think that most body kits are going to run lower in the front and back compared to stock bumper height? Any one have any experience with this?

can i make one suggestion.....dont take this the wrong way but would it be possible to address all of the issues regarding the drop/ride/kit ect. in one post or even on a different topic.....the only reason i say this is due to the fact that there are 7 threads by you alone on the first page of CC all on springs/drop VS rim dia./kit.....im only making this as a suggestion........but to your question yes most body kits will lower the bodyline down more....how much??? well depends on the kit.....there are people running this( kit/dropped ).......but here answer this.......would you feel 100% okay driving where you live ( road cond /curbs/ embankments/hills) with something that low??......if you even hesitate its prob. not gonna work for you

did i say dont ask questions???? NO i didnt...hence why i said dont take this the wrong way.....there is a difference thou between covering all of your questions regarding SUSPENSION/RIDE in one or two threads.....the only reason i said something in the first place is because there are actually eight including this one on the first page alone....dont get me wrong i love people asking questions and also helping if i can just there are better and more efficient ways of doing it......thats all.....oh and to also help you.....i know it helps me tons without having to start new threads all the time is the search..... i know for a fact all of your concerns as far as springs height/ride/cost ect. have all been talked about in depth in many previous threads just have to look for em.......once again im not trying to say dont ask questions just saying there are many avenues to peruse before starting a new thread.....thnx and no hard feelings

lol

Okay, heres the deal: For now on, before posting a question try the search first. People get annoyed (even i) at seeing the same question posted in 20 different threads. Its only so much we can take!! haha

To answer your question: Most body kits are going to be lower than the stock kit. Normally not too much of a difference, but some are as much as a inch and a half lower than stock...sometimes more, but i don't think theres any that drastic for the xb.

So, if road conditions are decent where you live and you don't have to travel through rough places often, i say go for it. Just do some research before you do. Learn how to drive a lowered car before you put the body kit on. It seems to be common sense that you can't go over everything in a lowered car like would at stock height, but then again, lots of people are ignorant. (not saying you are, but i dont know if you have experience driving a lowered car or not)

For springs, DF210s are the way to go. Made by tanabe. 2.2'' drop, looks very sexy IMO.

Good luck,
Cya

Yes most kits are lower than stock but vary on the amount. My Kenstyle front lip is about 1.5 inches lower than stock and the Parto/TC Sportline lip is about 2 inches lower than stock. If you drop 2 inches and have a lip kit on you just have to be careful. I cracked my front lip on a bad driveway last night but thats the risk I chose to take for the last 6 months and will continue to.

I have a body kit on mine and a drop would be outta the question with the conditions in my area. I hit a lot already at stock height. I have to crawl into my driveway. Definately weigh the pros and cons before dropping your car with a kit. If youre not willing to drive unbelievably careful I wouldnt do it.
