ROAD NOISE
Hello Fellow Members, Has anyone been able to reduce the amount of road noise that the XB's suffer. I know there is only som much we can do but if you can give me the tricks that you have used to correct this problem.
A friend of mine said it was b/c of the quality of the tires. I have the OEM tires and I can not believe that is the sole (no pun intended) reason for the issue.
Thanks for your help.

yeah i don't have an xB.. but.. tires can cause a lot of the noise you hear. have you checked your air pressures? are they what the sticker on the door jam says? that can make a difference in noise, if they have too much air, they ride hard and make noise..
also, the other thing is dynamat, that can definitely quiet up a ride.. but you have to tear apart the car and put this over all metal surfaces.. most people just buy different tires to make it quiet.. but that's the options i know of..

Try some sound deadening materials and check this post out : https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...=soundproofing
This should help with noise levels, I've done rear door so far and it helped considerably.
