Default Scion tC weird noises..

Hello, I'm new to these forums and I have a problem with my Scion tC. It's a 2013 model.
And for quite awhile a weird humming noise towards the middle of my car will occur while I'm driving and then it goes away.

It happens after my car is parked outside in the heat or when I accelerate after 40mph.

Would anyone know by chance what it could be?

More details on the location of the hum? Is it linked to vehicle speed, or engine speed? A video would help too.

A friend of mine had the similar issue with his car, but it was a VW Jetta and back then the problem was in one of the engine supports (the one for the rear) was wear out. As soon as he change it, this noise disappear. Don't say is your case, but maybe will be worth it to take a look on your engine supports. Only thing that makes me wonder is when you said this happen when is parked outside in a hot weather, in the case of the engine supports, the weather really don't matter.

A motor mount isn't going to cause this. Especially on a car that's only a couple years old. Still need more details before we can even begin to suggest possible causes.

That is why I wrote: "Don't say is your case, but maybe will be worth it to take a look on your engine supports" and the vehicle I mention back then was only couple of years old and the engine mount was wear out...I know, is not a Toyota Quality, though.

Why take the time to write it (twice) if it isn't relevant to the OP's problem?

I was just being helpful and letting the OP know it's not caused by a motor mount.

You get the point, I also just try to give my opinion based on my limited mechanical knowledge and some experience I have. I respect your opinion and your knowledge but I try to help too.

At the end, we are a Scion tC community, so we are cool.

It's prolly the same issue I had. There's a technical service bulletin for the sun roof ticking noise. And does anyone know if they have anyone looking for a Megan racing mid pipe?
