towing eyelet cover
Walking back into the garage from some yard work, and I noticed that the towing eyelet cover was gone.
I'll be calling the dealership on Monday about getting it replaced, but was curious whether it had happened to anyone here?
Do the dealerships stock that? Do they stock it in body color, or does it need to be painted?
How much is it? (Although it should be replaced under warranty, IMO)

I don't think it will be under warranty....
It is as if you lost a wheel hub cap....this may be kind of weird to replace under warranty...
This sucks....this is for sure will cost some money...and if it in the front....this looks weird without it huh?

Rear, which I think looks even worse. The front eyelet cover is in the grill, IIRC.
I'm going to try for warranty coverage. IMO, it's a different situation than a wheel cover. Potholes can easily dislodge a wheel cover. Nothing (IMO) should dislodge the eyelet cover.

The eyelet cover shouldn't dislodge at all unless you take it out yourself. Go with warranty first.
It's $3.60 from Partznet (query under Body Parts). Not sure about shipping cost, if any.:

They didn't stock it, it does come in body color, and they covered it under warranty.
Took longer for me to purchase out the xB diecast I found in the parts dept. than to get the paperwork done, and the new cover put in (once it arrrived)
I'll be checking it this weekend to see why it might have popped out. I'm thinking a little judicious use of duct tape inside the bumper might be a good idea.
