Default Lowering the Xb

Wondering how much, if any, loss of ride quality comes from lowering the Xb with Scion parts. Would appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

Depends on the drop and what you consider loss of quality.

If you are talking about scion parts, im assuming you are talking about the trd springs or hotchkis springs. Both drops are not significant enough to cause a bumpy ride or anything of that sort. Improved handling isn't that much better than stock. Atleast, not with the springs alone.

If you are wanting something along the lines of performance, i strongly recommend tanabe df210s. The drop is the lowest of all the springs available, 2.2'' front 2.3'' rear for me. But, its worth it. Ride quality is a little more harsh than stock but its not that bad. I still get compliments from people saying overall its a comfortable ride. Handling improves greatly over stock.

Good luck with whatever you decide!

Yeah, they are great. I know a lot of people compare both df210s and the s-techs for springs. When i road in a box with s-techs it didn't seem to handle as good as the df210's. He was driving fine, but it felt like a little more body roll than the df210s deliver. Drop is a little more with the s-techs too with the 210's. I did notice that the s-techs ride is a little more comfortable, but thats not what i was looking for.

Don't let this scare you chris_d, the df210's are really comfortable for the drop. Like i said, i have gotten compliments from the ride with the drop. So its really not that bad.

I don't think my xB had a great ride to start. I used the tein springs and don't think it is any worse. Now the 30 series 20'S made it a bit ruff!
