Hi everyone... I know there have been posts on how to remove the rear wiper motor and arm, and how you can use a quarter or a lock cylinder to fill the hole. Not in the Tech section tho... Anyone have a good tutorial on that? Want to do it this week.
Thanks in advance.

Remove the cover cap from end of wiper arm. This exposes the 10mm nut. Remove nut and pull hard slightly, and the wiper arm comes off.
Open the hatch and gently remove the plastic clips holding the fibreboard cover in place. I used a body panel removal tool and still damaged a few of the clips.
Becareful as the cover is flimsy and bends easily enuff.
IIRC, there are 4 or 5 10 mm bolts/nuts holding the motor assembly in place. (I'm not sure of the number of bolts/nuts as I did this well over a year ago.) Unclip the electrical connector and remove assembly. I can't remember if there ws the plastic sheeting over it or not, but just pull it back if there is.
To cover the hole, I went to the hardware store and found a suitable plug. The hole is 1 1/16 inch in diameter, and the closest I found was 1 inch in diameter. Nothing a little silicone couldn't handle. If excess silicone oozes out, let dry and run your fingers over it to remove.
Replace cover and close hatch.
Finished. (IIRC, they are all 10 mm, its been a while.)

You're welcome!
I think peeps put the quarter inside the rubber grommet (that I also failed to mention the removal) that the wiper shaft goes thru.
Good how-to.
I've seen the plug from Toyota, my local dealership used one on their demo. It's just a flat black rubber plug with the part number written on the outside. Looks good.
But you can also buy 1" plastic or chrome hole plugs from a hardware store.
Or just get it shaved and filled.

I may have left out a few steps, just post up where. I did this well over a year + ago, and went from what I could remember, which isn't much nowadays.
If I would have had some income the past three months, I would have the hatch filled and shaved while my arm is going to be in a cast for a few months, but I guess it'll just have to wait.

I removed mine about 6 months ago and I didn't remember as many steps as you did..........lol.
I guess I went above and beyond with my post though, he wasn't asking for suggestions on how to fill it.

I kept the original grommet from the wiper arm, use some 3M strip caulk, pushed in the grommet just a little and ta-da, done. I'll be getting a camera for the hole but for now it will do.

Does anyone have the part # ?
Go to Lowes.
Proceed to the Hardware section.
Look for plugs, in the drawers.
Take out a 1" plug uin either black nylon, or chrome.
Just remember to use silicone to seal up the hole.

Here is what I put on mine. It fits to perfection. No cutting or shaving what so ever. No leaks!!!!
Here is where I bought from!
