cleaning ESAMs without scratching them
I use a lot of detailer and microfiber all the way...
I even use microfiber on my rims...
The plastic will always look like it has super fine scratches though and theres no way to get past that

Exactly....thats just the nature of the plastics they use to make all of them (Wade, OEM, eSams) You can use some plastic polish on them everyonce in awhile, but the next time you wash it the same thing will happen.
I only use microfiber towels on plastic...with a light coat of "swirl filler" wax from time to time, but I think it will still show scratches regardless what you use. I just try to keep them less noticeable
As mentioned earlier, Novus has great plastic products. Maguire's also has some plastic cleaners/polish. If you have some scratches you'd like to work out, check out any general aviation supply for a kit called Micromesh. Ultra fine grades of emery....always keep water flowing when using though.
