Default Tanabes...the lowest spring only drop?

I think this is the case, but just wanted to confirm if the Tanabes gave the most drop from a spring (without resorting to cutting and not getting a coil-over system). I guess the next one up wold be the goldlines.

Depends which Spy springs. I remember some of the older ones sag and gave like 3" of drop. But yea for the US market DF210s are lowest.

Goldlines are 2.0 front and back.
Spy (which you cant get anymore to my knowledge) were supposed to be 2.0 front and back.
DFs are 2.2 in front and 2.0 in back.
Ive seen HKS spring pics, and those look lower than the DFs though. Those are a JDM product though.

Thanks for the info people. My s-techs are about a year old...and it seems that the drop is more than the advertised 1.5" after theve settled...looks more like 2". I 'd like to go lower without having to spring (pun!) for coil-overs...looks like the tanabes are the key. Scioninla has spys and he looks a lot lower than 2", so he must have that first batch of spy springs.

Yea kg/mm are expensive JDM product which are pretty nice from what I here.

Heres a list of some JDM ones that are lower or comparable than DF210 if you can afford them:

(Tanabe DF210s are rated drops at F: 50-60 mm R: 40-50 mm)

Garson Springs (lowest ones are F: 55 mm R: 55)
Kg/mm (lowest ones are F: 55 mm R:55 mm)
J Cool (F: 50-65 mm R: 50 mm)
Zoom (lowest F: 45-70 mm R: 40-65 mm)
Style Spice (F: 50 mm R: 45mm)
Voce (F: 40-45 mm R: 40-45 mm)
Espelir (F: 45-50 mm R: 35-40 mm)
Win Corporation (F: 80mm R: 80 mm)
Affection (F: 60 mm R: 50 mm)

All these facts are from StyleWagon bB Bible V2. They are all rated for the 1.5 L 2WD version bB. If a spring manuf. had multiple springs, I posted the lowest one they had.

Hope this helps

That's a great help Scott!

I wondering though, these JDM springs must be expensive and hard to get!

The zooms seem to be right on the money as far as spring drops!

win springs. coolio. coilovers are still the better for me.

df210's are 2.2 fonr and 2.0 rear
spy's listed at 2" but in actuality sagged to like 2.5 theyre no longer in production from what i hear.

I'd like to go lower in the front on my S-Techs, but I'm going to try cutting a coil off the bottom first. I'll be doing that soon when I change out my struts and I will post up some pics.

From what I've read the lowest springs sold in the U.S. (at least for the front of an xB) are RS*R Down springs. Those Win springs on the JDM list up there sound like they would be even lower, if you can find em.

Yeh that's what the specs are but people say they are more like 2.5 after they settle.
