Default Opinions and suggestions on spring shock combo for XB

I have decided to lower my 06 XB. I was thinking of using Tein S-Tech springs but I am still undecided on what adjutable shocks to use.
I have read that the KONI yellow shocks really work well on the XB but I dislike that you need to remove the rear shocks to adjust them.
I know that TOKICO (D-Spec hts) has recently released a shock set for the XA/XB.
Does anybody have any experience with the Tokicos on an XB? How is the ride and handling?
How does Tokico compare to Koni quality wise?

The adjustment of the Koni rear shocks is a 5 minute operation per shock. Maybe 2 minutes if you can do it in situ. I would't let this sway your selection too far.

jomo.... 5minutes..... are you sure? i think the rears, assuming you're really dumped and have no jack kit, are quite difficult to adjust.... you actually have to remove the entire assembly dont you? you can't just turn a key like the fronts.... right?

cuz i have k.yellows all around..... never got to adjust the backs....

I have koni yellows and adjust them ALL the time and i mean ALL the time. I circuit race my car and when it comes to track day all it takes is five minutes to lift the rear end take the top washer out completely compress the shock piston and twist the rod. Then pull the rod back up and screw on the 2 bolts. Very very very easy job. Its true that without a jack, it can be a little complicated but after doing various times you get the hang of it and its no big deal. I mixed the koni yellows with Tein S-Techs and im never going back. Just to let you know this is my 2nd set of shocks and 3rd set of springs, i could never find the right combination until i put these 2 together. If you really want to improve your handling and want adjustability get the Koni's. As for the tockico i used to have them on a civic i once owned and they were good, but the build quailty of the Koni's are superb. If you have any other question let me know, im here to help you make the correct decision. Dont let anyone disencourage you from buying the Koni's they are excellent shocks and very easy to adjust.

how about the fact that basic coilovers are pretty much a few dollars away?

I was going to buy the basic coilovers, but i live in Puerto Rico and they are just to rough for the bad roads here. If you have good roads and are willing to spend another 100-200, then go for it, coilover setups, in my opinion, are much better handling, then any srpings shock combo. Its all in the comfort you want to acheive. Remember we are daily drivers, i dont want a back breaking ride everyday.

so if you have bad roads, you should get springs/shox instead of coilovers?

tanabe df210 with monroe sensatracs at all four is a very popular setup around here.

exactly the dampening and spring rates on coiovers are harder than those of a spring with a shock. As cherryBox put it, either the tanabes or teins with monroes, if your not racing. If you plan on racing that look at the eibach cup kit of the Koni yellows. I just wasnt sure of the cup kit because not alot of people talk about it.
