depends on the compound...the higher the treadwear rating the longer they can last....your driving style and maintenance also makes a difference

If I'm not mistaken, there should be mileage ratings on the tire.

The lowest mileage I ever got from a tire was 8,000 on Pirelli P-Zero Rosso 245/35-19 on my Audi A6 4.2. I don't remember what the treadwear rating was, but I didn't expect them to last very long. Keep in mind this was a 4000-lb car with Quattro all wheel drive that I threw around every turn and got sideways quite a bit.

I went through 3 sets in one year, at $275 per tire.

But on my other cars I averaged about 15-20,000 miles with typical performance tires (Yokohama ES100 & Parada, Pirelli P7000 & P-Zero Nero, etc.).

I've got about 18K on kumha ecsta asx's. I think they will last for 30K. Lots of high speed time and some carving. Tirerack.com has excellent tire reviews that should help ya find what ya seek.

Depends on how you drive, if you rotate them, and how soft they are.

I had Toyo T1 Proxes on my 1.8T GTI and I went through them in one summer (about 5000-8000 miles) But I drove fast and cornered fast in that car.

I currently have the Falken 512's and they are wearing pretty fast, all four are withing 3/32nd of the wear bar after 12k miles. I am going to go with BF Goodrich next time around because they always seemed to perform the best and last the longest...kindof a win-win situation.

I have Goodyear Assurance TripleTred tires which have an 80,000 mile rating on them. I have about 20,000 miles on them and they look brand new. I love the tires because it feels like you're driving on rails with its awesome traction.

Dude I'm talking about performance low profile tires.. I know the tires that u are talking about and they are for minivans and passenger cars... But I could be wrong... Now if I could find those in the size I want and not spend 200 a piece for them I'm all for it...

bf goodrich g force kdw lasted a long time for me. i had them on my 18's on my last car. i traded the car with them on it (put about 25K miles on them) and they still had a lot of life left. they were excellent on the wet and dry.

Default MILEAGE ON LOW PROFILES

Pirelli P-Zero Nero 215-35-19 changing two at 55,000 miles, probably should have been rotating more often for even wear...commuting 80 mpDay in DC area.

These tires are EXCELLENT in rain...what confidence to slip up at 75 mph between two 18-wheelers in a heavy rain and blow right on thru....straight as an arrow.

Default MILEAGE ON LOW PROFILES

Q: mileage on car or tires?
A: both...only had tires off for a couple weeks of snow tiring driving in the few snow days of Washington DC commuting.

Since original purchase the price at TIRERACK has dropped from $190/tire to $147...mass production advantage in pricing I assume cause the new one drive as well as the originals.

I love these tires...

(Pirelli P Zero Nero, 215-35-19...buy at TIRERACK and mount at your local tireplace)

I would say anything over 30 K on low profile tires is good. Mostly depends on how they are used though.

Default Low Profile Tires

Your right about how you treat the tires...mostly run them at 45 psi (protects TRD 19 inch wheels from Washington DC potholes) and try to rotate them for the fronts wear down much faster. The wear across the 8 inch widths has been very even (no wearing down in the middle first despite the 45 psi tire pressure).

I was guilty of not rotating the tires front to back often enough to get even wear and had to let go the first two of four Pirelli P Zero Nero 215-35-19 at 57,000 miles. YABABY is at 58,000 miles and still have two of the orginal four on the back with a few more miles to go.

Did I saw this enough...these tires are bold wet street grabbers that build confidence.

Always on the lookout for better rubber (past tire consumers for the commute include: 83 Porsche 911SC (10 years), and 99 Mustang SVT (one year) and not the Hot Box.

If you care about acceleration you need to keep wheel and tire weight in mind too. A set of "phats" can kill acceleration-especially on top end. Not sure what size your wantin for xb. General exclaims are the lightest ive found for stock tc size. 5 lbs. lighter each-that should make a big difference.

Now if I could just get these ecstas to wear out.
