Lowering = wider wheel base?
Hey peeps, here's the scoop. I'm running 18" Montegi rims wrapped in 40 series 195's. I am going to be lowering my box down 2" w/ Goldline Springs and a front strut bar. My question is, will lowering the box increase the wheel base? I know the rear is not independent suspension, so will the front wheel base be wider then the rear? If so, is there anything I could do about this?
Thanks in advance for the advice.

No it shouldn't really change it. The rear generally looks narrower anyway, so many people add the Rear Spacer Shims from www.onetongarage.com to make it look a little more even.
Something in your post doesn't add up. I have never heard of a single company in the world that makes a 195/40/18 tire.
But as stated, the front has a wider track than the rear regardless of suspension height. And with the xB the track width remains pretty consistent (even in the front) even at full drop. The wheelbase however does change because of the rear suspension design. As you go lower your rear wheel will move forward.
