215/45/r17 rubbing issue
i am running +38 ofsett, with 215/45/r17 yokohama es100. I was told that they would fit, need less to say they do but they rub the lower flat metel thick arm. I can not fit a single finger between the two. Front and Rear. The wheels do not rub when i turn/sharp or light. I can feel rubbing against the metel arm tho. I hope i am describing this piece right. Can this be fixed with otg spacers, am i in danger of messing up something??
If you can post pics... you might have a quicker answer.
Also, if it is rubbing on the inside... spacers are needed as common sense. Please post pics. and Post your stats on my thread. There are a lot of people with that tire size you can ask for help.

working on pics, until then i put the stock steelies back on, rides like it did before the aftermarket wheels went on. I think that the spacers will do some good, and was wondering why my front end felt as if the front wheels/end felt loose? Is it because of the plus size wheel and tire combo?

I have the exact same wheel/tire/offset. i get a liitle rubbing in the front when at full
turn. there is about 1/4 inch space betwwen the rear inside of the wheel and the arm?
i'm gonna get the H&R 5mm spacers cause my Htechs are on there way and lowering
it isnt gonna help.

well the this guy at tirerack told me that ideally with our wheel and tire we should be
running +38 to +40 so were off about 5mm. he also told me to check out H&R so i
guess they work for the front and back. also tirerack reccomends 215/40/17 tires
so we are both a litle tall.

If they are only rubbing in the rear the one tons garage spacers should remedy the problem. Try to avoid spacers in the front because the wheels already stick out enough up front. I have 17X7 with +40 offset with the same size tires and have zero rubbing issues
The wheels are +42 so they are tucked nicely(too nicely) I agree with 10mm shimms in the rear, but the front rub as well and the H&R spacer are only 5mm up front. I belive and was told by gabe and the guy at options auto the 5mm should be the higest mm to go with. With this plan the front should meet the fender well to the "T".
