Default (pic) yakima xB clip-on roof rack

Hey everyone,

I was finally able to track down the Yakima clips (made especially for the xB) at Sports Rack in Sunnyvale. The rest of the rack is "generic" for any car, so the other parts were easy to find. Anyway, someone was requesting some pics, so I thought I'd share.

It works great, and it's very solid. In fact the directions specify that you must tug on the rack after installing to check it out. It does sit flush against the rubber pieces that you stick between the car and the towers.

I'm curious how much that set-up cost over at sport rack (minus the bike attachments).

yeah Roger, I'd like to know too... When I first got my xB, I went to sports rack in Sunnyvale and they only offered the non-removable yakima rack (the one mounted on rails). Maybe I'll stop by there after work to check out the prices as well.

Thanks...I took the pic that same evening, just before the shot of the rack. The lighting was really good - it's just a photo of my xB logo with clouds reflecting in the shiny paint.

Default prices

You'll probably have to get Sports Rack to order the clips, but they came in only a couple days...I don't think they stock them. So, here's the prices:

Clips (#121) $23 (x2)
Qtowers $120
Crossbars $45
Fairing $50
SKS Locks(6) $50
Steelhead bike holder $100

I bought everything but the clips at REI b/c I'm a member there. Also, I had a 20% off coupon that I got in the mail for a purchase at REI.
