Ok, so I was bored and decided to get myself a price quote on some wheels and tires for an xA. So far I've chosen these wheels:
Konig Reasons
Does anybody have these? How much do they weigh? Any pics?
I also narrowed it down to 5 tires. I live in Wisonsonin so I need the winter and summer performance to be very good.

I'm open to any other reccomendations also, prefferably from that same site as the wheels so i can get everything put on and balanced for free.

 

tire choice one is a very nice choice. i have a friend running those on his awd celica. i've been considering getting the same ones when i get cash for wheels and tires.

 

Yeah, 1 and 2 are the one's I like the most cause they have Z ratings and good reviews. The Ecsta SPT's are classified as summer tires on 1010tires.com so I don't know how well they'd do in winter. The ASX are classified as all season and also got good all around ratings and reviews.

 

I would guess those Reasons weigh in just over 19 lbs. each. I couldn't find specs. online though.

As for the tires, I would agree with choice number one. Being that you are in Wisconsin, you will want a tire designed for wet and dry traction. If you were in a dryer climate and looking for a larger diameter I would recommend the Nitto 555 hands down.

 

Do you think SPT's will be better in snow then ASX's? About how much will the wheel/tire combo weigh together?

 

I would run the stock rims and tires in winter if i were you.

After one season in the snow and salt your konigs will get pitted.

But the first tire would be my choice for summer driving.

 

I've heard that the stock tires are horrible for winter driving..is that true?
