in my experience with drums a crow bar or pry bar and a big hammer were needed and I hit it from the front and banged it side to side and make sure there aren't any of those screws that need to come out with a hammer driver./

Since my last post, I've been outside pounding the CRAP out of the driver's side rear drum (again, e-brake off) with a hammer and a wood blck. I attempted to begin to pry the drum cover with a screwdriver, but I don't want to bend the rear of the drum. Man, is this aggrivating!!!!!!

I do not own that car so I am not exactly sure but most cars I have worked on have 2 holes in the cover, their purpose is to screw 2 long bolts into the and turn each one so the cover will exactly push off!

Yes -- correct. However, i"m not sure what size bolt I need to back the drums off.

Thanks for the info. However, I'm still not sure I get it. Plus, I don't want to screw anything up with the drum.

This is so frustrating. I went and bought a big rubber mallet, and that didn't seem to do the trick. I went and bought 8mm x 1.25 screws to back the drum off with but they're the wong size!

Okay, does anyone know what diameter/pitch screws you need to insert into the two holes in the drum cover to back the drums off? You can see where the holes are located in this picture:

I bought 8mm x 1.25 screws and they don't fit (just a hair too big). I need to know the diameter of the bolt itself and the correct pitch.

Okay, so I managed to turn the self-adjusting wheel in the drum all the way. The drum STILL WILL NOT COME OFF! However, now the e-brake doesn't lock up that side of the car.

I used a bolt in one of the holes to back the drum off. I think it's a 12mm bolt; not sure of the pitch, though.

Those are 10mm. The H&R spacers I bought are 15mm.
