Oh I know what they look like, just curious as to why someone would have them that way besides someone mentioning drifting.

They can also help in reducing fender rubbing issues.

i run stretch tire on my 73 Skyline is because for road race and drift, i have 15x10 watanabes with 225-50 15s which isnt as much stretch as ive seen before, since the tire is already stretched in an angle, the sidewalls are stiff and when taking turns the sidewall flex to its natural vertical position which gives you full contact patch during turns. other reasons i to run wide wheels and have tire clearance, only caution is parking on curbs, you can get dings!!!

my friend has his tires stretched.. or else it'll rub the rear and front fenders to death...
usually when u go with a quality wheel, you would pick a width and offset that will
flush with the fender, that way the wheel looks good(after all, wheels are bought and placed on cars for looks).. with a wide or low offset wheel, you need stretched tires
to clear the fenders.
