2 air ride questions
Ok first off im running 18x8 offest of 35 with 225/40s an im wondering if or how much i need to mood fenders and such to run air? And the second question anyone on here running the universal air kit http://www.universalairsuspension.co...products_id=48 or just their front kit. I been reading for about a week on the kits and what is bad and good but everyone that seem to put a set up together is having probs with their es struts so i thought the universal air kit might be a better option. well thank you for any light you may shed on my questions.
i have heard that one guy on here used the universal air stuff and had good luck but ive also read one person had a bunch of their front bags blow out. The other thing that scares me a bit from them is the 110psi limit on the front bags. Depending on what size line you run, itll hit 110psi pretty quickly from 0 with a flick of the swtichbox. Mine would fill the easystreet bags and EAI cylinders in less than a second. I had 1/2" line and valves.
Unless you are up for doing some of your own fabrication, and hacking up the stock struts, I would lean toward someone else's "bolt on" kit. The Universal parts really are Universal, and overpriced for what they provide.
I'm not against fab work i can do a decent amount at home an have machinist for a best friend who will work for beer if i need any that needs to be in really on. Just with the know problems of the easy street struts and the ride of cylinders. So are there any other options out there. And with the wheel thing should i ask over in the wheels an tires section or just wait hedont like having to many running topics thanks for the help sofar tho guys
if youre going to drop over 2 grand for that universal kit you should just drop another few hundred and get the Airrunner kit from Japan. There is a deal going on in the sponsored sales section.
Agreed. If you don't mind dropping the coin on suspension, Air Runner is the best bet. The suspension pieces are very nice, but the air management in their systems is "lacking" to say the least. Unfortunately Air Runner is all or nothing.
Also, if you really want to know what options are out there take a look at the Pneumatic Suspension Sticky at the top...
