Default 205/50 or 205/55 is there a big difference? need opinions

I've been deciding for the past week on whether to mount the 205 55 series or 205 50 series on a 15 inch wheel, Kumho ASX's fit the bill and are affordable. is there going to be a big difference in handling ? or maybe in comfort. The 55 series is .2 taller in diameter while the 50 series is .6 shorter in diameter. Opinions greatly appreciated. Thanks

205/55 is what you'd have to do if you want to get close to your stock diameter.

Yup, go with 205/55 if you want to keep the stock overall diameter. It makes a difference if you're still at the stock ride height. I had 18x7.5s with 215/35s, and now I'm rolling on stock 15x6 steel wheels with 205/55s. MUCH nicer rider, and once the weather gets better here, I'll throw the 18s back on (or not)!

The 205/55R15's are the correct fitment for your vehicle!

55 series tires will give a better ride than the 50 series, but you will either not notice a difference or a slight difference.
