Can you put wider rims (not bigger, but wider) and tires on an XB? Is there enough room in the wheel wells to do this without taking the tires outside of the body outline. (I don' t want to look like a Dork.)

People have put 16x9s on the xB. You need to stretch the tire but other than that.....
