Default Lowering just the front or rear of the car?

The other day I saw a box in Jacksonville with just the front lowered and the rear looked stock. I am not sure how much it was lowered but it had 15in black rims with a chrome lip on it and the for some reason the look of the car was actually appealing to me. Is it bad to just lower the front or rear? Does it affect the car in any positive or negative ways? Would it reduce gas mpg? I went up to it after the person parked it and checked to see if it was air shocks or anything but it was just bright green springs there. (i know i must have looked like a str8 up thug going up to a random car and looking under it... lol thank god no one said anything to me.)

No it should not hurt anything. Bright green springs are typically Tein S-Techs. He may have had those springs front and rear and had aftermarket struts in the front. Those lower the front another 1/2" or so. That would give it a little bit of a rake.
