Default do 215/40-17 on 17x7 +40mm rub?!

So yeah, I found this thing on Scionlife saying that the following tires are really close to the stock tire as far as speedometer stuff goes. 215/40-17
I don't know much about wheels, just so you know.

I tried searching but couldn't find anything, so I'm posting. :-)

I am thinking of doing 17" +40mm offset with 215/40-17

My question is, do you think they would rub? would that have something to do with the offset? All the wheels I like seem to bounce between +38mm and +40mm offset.
I don't wanna have to do ANYTHING to my xB as far as shaving goes.

Thanks

Well, I guess it depends on what you classify as a hard turn. I don't go nuts in my xB, but I do what I call some hard turns now and then. And that's lowered 2" with other people in the car.
I have never had one instance of rubbing.

I ran same specs with 2" drop before but never experienced any rubbing at all.
