JIC Magic FLTA-2 for xA [Test Mule]
I've seen the FLTA-2 coilovers listed (hopupracing.com) for the xA, but JIC Magic USA says those are only for the xB, and they don't make this model for the xA.
They are supposed to take my xA on the weekend of May 27-28 for testing, so it won't be long until the FLTA-2 coilovers are available for our cars, too.

The JIC tech told me that the mounting points are the same, but the spring rates are different.
I was also told that the xA spring rates from other (JIC) coilovers can't be transferred to the FLTA-2 because of the different valving.

Kodokan is correct.
While the Echo, xB (bB) and xA (ist) share the same suspension pick up points and most of the components the difference between them is the springs. And in some instances the shocks and struts (Mostly just the valving). This is most likely the case with the Yaris (Vitz) as well.
These components must be adjusted for each application due to weight and weight distribution.
