Default Cusco Camber Plates install?

Does anyone have any pointers or do's & dont's for the Cusco camber plates installation? Or better yet, a link to installation instructions? My camber plates should be here by this weekend and I'd like to get a head start on reading up on how to install them.

Power tools makes taking the stock ones off very easy. also you'll probably need a spring compressor so you wont get injured when taking your front suspension a part.

If you got airlift struts, your going to have to fab something up for the large center bolt.....The Airlift stuff is a different thread then the stock ones.

His Cusco kit already comes with bushings,
Installation is like mounting stocks, just take your top off and put the black spacers and then the plates and your bushing and then the nuts. email me if you have any question !! Sean

Damn, Sean caught me looking for a head-start But yeah, he's hooking me up with the correct bushings - I was just checking to see if anybody had run into anything that I needed to make sure of when installing these.
Thanks to all who replied.

Just taking care of my customers,
By the way you don't really have to take the strut out, you can change the top by just releasing the air and pushing the bags down and put the cusco on. Sean

Oh very sweet! The plates were delivered to me here at work just a little bit ago and I'm going to take this afternoon off to install them. I was planning on having to take the struts clear out, I'm glad to hear I don't!

I got the plates installed...and honestly it wasn't very difficult. I was able to install them without completely removing the front struts, too. I had to move the adjuster on the plates all the way as far as they'd go on the negative side just to get my wheels back to around a zero camber. Now, with the exception of one small spot on the inner fender wheel (and after I trimmed off some of the fender lining) I can slam the front. The front skirt is about an inch off the ground at full down and it looks awesome. I definitely need an alignment, but I got it adjusted myself to get me by until I can get it aligned next week.

Sean (MyBoX): thanks for a great product and an overall great experience...I'm happier than hell with the camber plates. I do have a question about them, though. I have noticed that when driving the front is a lot more noisy sounding now that I have installed the plates. It doesn't really sound like anything is loose, just kind of noisy - like all the road noise is magnified maybe? Is this normal? It's definitely not unbearable...it's just different.

Glad everything worked out for you !!
They are noiser because there is no plastic parts in them, its all steel so they are going to transfer the road noise way much more than stocks but you get used to them. Thanks again !! Sean @ JDMPalace

hey, when you camber it all the way and slam it, make sure the bracket that holds the brake line doesnt rub the inside on the fender well. mine did. it bent the bracket in half so i cut it off.

Matty, my cost shipped was $285. Also, the instructions were all in Japanese so I wasn't able to tell that they were going to be noisier

Sean: thanks for replying...I figured there was a reason they were noisier, now I know.

MagicMan: thank you for the heads-up. I'll be checking that bracket asap now!

who has something already fabed up for this issue? my thread pitch is different then stock.

The centering/sleeved nut needs to still be in place and so far i haven't been able to locate one to my thread pitch.

All i had to do was get the nut insert retapped to 1/2"x20. Seems the ES front struts are standard thread. I also have it set at about -7 degrees, but the wheels are opnlt at like -3 degrees. Damn you Easy Street! >Mikey
