Default Ride quality with 17" wheels?

I am buying a new Box today - I can hardly wait to head out for the dealer! I want to replace the tires and wheels ASAP. I like the looks and wheel/tire choices in 17" but I am concerned it will KILL my ride quality. I will be driving my Box about 100 miles per day, mostly highway. Any thoughts? Maybe I should go with 15" or 16" instead?

especially with 100 miles a day i would stick with a 15, you could go with a lighter rim if youi went 17, try rota or work rims. There great looks with light feel for a tremendously good ride. Remember performance is light, looks are heavy>

no it wont kill your ride quality. its very little difference. the only time you will notice is if you hit a bump in the road. if you're driving mostly highway you probably wont even notice much change because most highway roads are smoother than city

i honestly didn't like
the ride of my previous 17x8.5"
rims. i ended up selling them and
bought 15x8". much more comfy.

I do about a hund a day. I ride both 17x7 in the summer / 15x8 in the winter. The 15's definetly give a better ride. They are not worlds apart though.

Does the size do anything to affect mileage? I know summer/winter driving are hard to compare, but if larger rims reduce my MPG I will probably have to pass.

The ride is a little rougher. If the roads are rough I would stick with 15's or 16's. I have 215/40ZR-17 and they are as close to stock dia as you could get. Some run 215/45R-17 with no complaints.
