Default TRD springs v.s. Aftermarket, what to get?

My xb needs dropped in a bad way. i was gonna get some new springs but I dont want to tear up the lip kit im gettin. I'm thinkin the trds will give me a decent drop that is still OK for day to day driving. the winters in ohio put out some snow and i dont know if I want to go any lower. input?

From one midwesterner to another, get a spring that will lower your Box an inch, cause here in Chicago, just like in Ohio, winters are BAD!!!
I bought the Tein H-techs and I LOVE the subtle 1" drop it gave my Box...

i would say a after market.. trd spring isnt low enough. Cant really tell if its drop or not. its only a 1" drop. not a biggie. If only 1", u need some big rims to make it look better.

You can certainly see a 1 inch drop. I chose the TRD over the Tein H-techs because the Tein is a much stiffer spring in the rear. The TRD, although stiffer than stock, retains a decent ride and gets a drop you will notice.

The TRD spring are for people who want to lose some of the 4X4 wheel gap and retain a nice ride. IMO Personally I like the Hotchkis spring. They have the best drop IMO and they still ride pretty good.

He's in Ohio so any lower than TRD's will need to be swapped out for winter duty. I have changing my Hotchkisses out down to about an hour.

It all depends on how much drop you want.
