has anyone done that, as not sacrafice trunk space?

There is zero room below the back seat. Either put it in the hatch space, or under the car.

the gas tank is under the back seats so that probably wouldnt work and i dont think thats something you really wanna mod to make work...

Someone here has 2 small tanks under their front seats. But I third theres no room under the back seat. Only possable way to do it is to somehow build it into the foam of the back seat. But even thats only about 4 inches thick.

and i dont think that would be very comfortable now would it lol

you could fab up some brackets, and mount 2 5 gallon compressors, along with the valves and compressors under the rear bumper
