im going to be keeping my stock hubs for quite a while, pretty much b/c i honestly dont think they look that bad lol...

anyway, im going to be doing some suspension and brake work soon and i need to see what springs do what with stock wheels, basically how much i can lower it...

well, im not. im going to rock the hubs for a while, get everything else situated... im not going for performance, its a damn Xb lol i just want it to look decent... and wheels, at least the ones i want, are expensive...

plus, my dad bought this car for me as a graduation from college present, and he doesnt want me to do anythin to it. so im going to do things that you wont really notice unless you're into cars... which he is not

heres some with stocks on tanabe df210s

heres one on goldlines next to a stocker

one on s-techs

and heres mine on h-techs

honestly if your goin with the stock steels go with a moderate to low drop like the s-techs, df210s, or the goldlines it will look much better
im going to switch out my h-techs for df210s cuz the drops just not low enough for me

i have the same set up as the two boxes at the top of my last post (except the second guy painted his red)

heres another shot of the box

but if your goin for the slammed look definately go with the df210s or the goldlines (or pretty much any other 2" drop)

i need better pix of the teins from the sides. the first pic of the tanabe's dont look as slammed as the second one. are there any issues with scraping with either of the goldlines or tanabes?

also, with your H-techs, could you tell it was lowered much at all?

the first pic with the tanabes was taken right after the springs were put on so they werent settled when the picture was taken

im not sure about scraping issues with the goldlines or tanabes because i dont have them but most people dont have problems (as long as your careful and not stupid)

with the h-techs you can definately tell its lower than stock (the box doesnt look like a 4x4 anymore) but it doesnt look slammed

my biggest deal with the Stechs is that it looks like the rear is still lower than the front (like it looks stck)

most of the other springs stagger the lowering to where the front is lowered a considerable amount more than the front.....

how do the stechs stack up against hte goldlines and tanabes in terms of lowering?

df210s F/R: -2.2/-2.0
goldlines F/R: -2.0/-2.0
s-techs F/R: -1.7/-1.5

heres a link with info for all the lowering springs

anyone have any opinions or pix of the Tanabe NF210's?

they seem to be similar to the Stechs, and i've heard good things about tanabes....

cutting stock springs=bad idea

saving 150 to buy real lowering springs=good idea

i would rather spend the money on lowering springs than f*** my entire suspension up and ride in a deathbox
