Default OKAY....GOT MY NEW BOX!!!!

Now I need somemajor help. I need to know what I should do for rims. Here were a couple choices,

19" x 7.5 w/40mm offset w/ 215/35/19 tires

18" x 7.5 w/40mm offset w/225/40/18 tires

Then I want to lower it about 1.5" or 2".

So I guess my real question is Which one should I do? I want a 2" drop but if I go with 19" I know I cant really. I really want 19's though. Or....do I go with the 18's with a 2" drop. I am confused because the rim places tell me different things. Like I need the right offset and lowering and tire to look right and fit right. All this I understand but all give me different answers as to what is the right combo. So I now turn to you all because you all own this car too and you all know more than I do about what you can and can't do on the XB.

All help is appreciated VERY much you guys.

Thanks

IMO, I'd go with 18's. 19's are just huge, and also rub when you drop it 2".

So if I do like an 18" X 7.5 40mm offset rim W/215/35/18 tires and a 1.5" drop will they be flush with the wheel wells? I dont want the tires to stick out or tuck under.

you will want a lower offset, or you could always get wheel spacers.

215/35 18 or 225/25 19's.

are my reccomendations. 225/25/19's will be very expensive but still stock diameter and look SWEET. gigantor!!!

Yeah...that would be cool but talk about a rough ride. 25's are pretty much like riding on just your rims.

Has anybody heard anything or seen 2tonlocksmith's Xb? He has 19's with 35's and has it bagged. I would like to know if he has any rubbing issues.

I've had 17's ,18's & 19's on my xB with a 2" drop, none of them rubbed.

215/45/17

215/35/18

215/35/19

Who makes a 225/25/19? I haven't seen a 25-series tire that narrow before.

Does anybody know what rim offset is the best on an Xb? 38mm,40mm, 42mm, to make them flush to the side of the wheel well?
