Default Does anyone notice this about their xB?

I've reccently noticed that the rear wheels on my xB sit inside the wheel well different amounts. I lowered the car using TRD springs ans struts and just installed H&R 5m spacers. After the spacer install, I've noticed that one wheel in the rear is closer to the fender than the other. I could tell visually because one wheels (when viewed from the front) hides the rear bumper's lower lip while the other can still be seen.

Does anyone else notice this? Just curcious as One other member notices the same thing.

thanks,
Dchan8

i got it from optionsauto.com, it did come with longer studs and i did use them.

ted - so your rear wheels sit inside the wheel well evenly? take a look at the rear tires and how much of the rear bumper covers the tire tread. let me know if they sit inside the wheel well evenly.
thasks,
david

my 40 offset wheels seem too tucked inside the wheel well, so i used spaces to move the wheel out, after i used the spaces, i noticed that the rear wheels were inside the wheel well evenly.

You might want to check those spacers for quility. Not that I am bashing the place that u got them from , but accidents happen.

Sounds like something isnt installed correctly if this is indeed how you describe it.

The point of the spacers is to push the wheel out close to the fender. I just had a variety of different hubcentric ones made so i could play around with them and see what is the best possible fitment.

Dchan (David) is by far the most by the book guy I have ever met and seen work. He is like a doctor. So its probably manufacturing.

the spacers are both 5mm, and everything is right, but i noticed that both rear wheels are not inside of the wheel well the same distance, the passenger side wheels is closer to the fender than the driver side, with or with out a spacer, one whould notice this. can somecheck their car and let me know if this is normal?
thansk,

i've seen 3 other scions today and all of them had rear wheels where the drivers side wheel was further inside the wheel well than the passanger side. i guess that is normal, so all you other scion xb owners might be interested in this condition.

acutally, if you check your rear wheels, i bet the driver side wheel sits a little further inside the wheels well(about .25") when compared to the passanger side.

if you try the exact same size wheel spacers for both the rear wheels, you will notice the difference that i'm talking about.

Why would they do that? Just a fluke or because we are the first US Generation?

I totally Agree with David... The rear driver side is further away from the fender. I went through this back in June but never mentioned it in the forum and learned to live with it.

At first I thought I have two different wheel offset. After verifying the wheel offset, I installed my rims without the spacers and it's the same result.

Check your xB and start measuring. This is a manufacturer's flaw... Is there a way to correct this?
