Default Maximum Drop. Minimum Rubbing.

Im looking into getting a set of SportMax 002 15"x8" +0 offset wheels, and was wondering what size tire would give me little to no rubbing with a two inch drop.

195/45/15

or

205/50/15

or something comparable in between.

is rolling the fenders a must with these wheels?

wouldn't get the 205/50/15s i have seen pics of those getting pretty ripped up. Rolling fenders isnt a must but it would definately help.

Here are my opinions on 002s... go thin, go low and roll it regardless of drop and tire size! Drop springs are usually not low enough for these wheels. From my analysis, seems like alot of folks try to fill in the gap with minimal drop and thicker tire which seems like the cheaper way out.
I have 195/45s, DF210s, camber/spacer shims stacked with a minor roll on all fenders and I still rub. If you are concerned about any kind of rubbing, these wheels are not for you.

Good luck!

QuestionMark, have you tried running the camber shims w/o the spacers?

No I have not... if I did, my rubbing problems would probably be solved in the rear.

But then the fronts would stick out way further than the rears.

how much further are we talking?

i know HorsepowerFreaks.com offers many different sizes of spacers for the bB.
could you possibly go with a thinner spacer or are the ones your running now making the back perfectly flush with the front?

I seen a xb with meagan racing springs and 002 he had no shims or spacers and was running a 195/45 tire. I thought it looked real good. I plan on running them with some camber in the rear and df 210s.
