Default Changing 4 lug to 5 lug on xB?..

I used to customize old VW's and would change the lug pattern ...I had some of the hubs welded and restudded....I am currently putting Intro Billet wheels on my xB ...the bolt pattern is only in 5 lug...I will not and can not use adapters....I want to redo the hubs.
Is there a chance the Scion tC hubs will work in the xB? or can the whole brake assembly from a tC be put on a xB. Hey disc brakes in all four corners. This is for the serious customizer that will not settle for the same old boring 4 lug wheels on the market for xB's
Is there any body that has tried this yet? Let me know. And if so...what did you do?

Thanks

Nice to see someone stepping up to run a set of some of the nicest wheels in the world. I have a set of 20" Intro Champion 6 on my Dakota.

As far as switching to 5 lug, I remember seeing a post from someone with an xA that used JDM parts to swap over to 5 lug. You may just have to search to find it. I remember him saying that it was a permanent change, so it is probably the type of modifications you are looking to do.

Also, if you still want to run Intros without switching to 5 lug, you can get the GT Sport and Rockman in 4 lug with 5 spokes. Also check out ID Luxury Wheels. This is Intro's 3 piece forged wheel line. These can be ordered in 4 lug as well.

If you want a contact at Intro, let me know. I have a buddy that works in sales and marketing down there.

Hey thanks for the info....I will check into JDM.....there is a way....just have to find the right way even if it cost....INTRO..thats the rim for me...the polished billet aluminum over chome is so much better ....a better luster in the shine....I'm stuck on the INTRO VISTA POLISHED wheel.....as for your contact..yea that sounds great..I have been talking to the lady that takes care of alot of orders..I forget her name ...but we have sized everything and she know what I want...so between the two I'm sure I will get a badass wheel for my XB...taking it old school custom intead of the typical inport look that floods the market...the XB has great oldschool vibe you just have to find and see it...well thanks again..........any more suggestion out there???????

I am pretty sure intro will drill the "covered series" in 4 lug too. But I can be ignored since I don't always know what I am talking about.

Thanks for the info on the INTRO COVERED SERIES wheel...those are nice but I'm set on the five spokes with the 5 lug....extra work and money but this is true custom and real custom cars take alot so I don't mind the extra effort...the five gives the car an added detail in the looks department to....oh and your info wasn't ignored....thanks again......

several Japanese companies do make conversion kits but they are simply spacers with drilled offset holes to convert. most of them to be safe are at least 25mm, though i've seen the thinnest at 15mm. personally it does seem risky to run something that thin. other then that you'll probably need to find a similar platform from another car that you can change the whole hub assemblies. either way, not a cheap route to go.

BlackBilletxB... Check your PMs here pretty quick. I will send you the contact information.

Spider13... You are correct. Any of the covered series wheels are available in 4 lug. The covered series can be had in any lug pattern out there.

bBoxedin... The guy I was referring to didn't use spacers/adapters to convert. He had a true 5 lug conversion. I remember in his posts that he said it was a permanent change. Adapters are far from permanent. Then again, there isn't much in the automotive world that is permanent. Throw enough time, money and effort at something and you can surely reverse it.

it wont be all that hard. lot and lots of measuring though. the biggest pain is going to be getting the brakes sorted out. measure the bearing ID and OD, figure out what hubs that are 5 lug with the pattern you need that are fairly close to the correct size.
You can either have them machined if they are a little bigger in diameter, or you will need to find bearings that work. then you have to work out the caliper/rotor situation. I would go with something aftermarket at this point.

I would start by looking at either the Corolla or tC platform for swapability.
