Default JDM Foglight install...what do you recommend?

I bought my JDM fogs from newscionparts.com and I'll be getting them today since they are about 30min. away from me. Anyways...the deal is this I understand the stock switch lights up. However its the wiring that makes it a pain. I have a rocker switch with an LED light for when its engaged and plan on using that now that I found out the deals with the JDM switch....If I wire this up just as the USDM ones, but with this new switch will I be able to turn the fogs on/off as I please? Id like to use them as DRL's. Is there a special step in the wiring or to the fuse box for this? If you have done it and can offer steps/pics PLEASE do send them this way. I've searched the tech and got the basics but need the specifics now.

and I see its some new wiring...but any other explanation with it? Almost like giving a person a paint brush with no paint and not telling them what to do with it..lol

I think that what eE is trying to say is that you need to splice in and rewire the JDM switch to make it work on a bB. Insted of cutting the original bB connector for the switch and soldering the wires directly to the JDM switch it will be easier if you find a connector wich can be used with JDM switch. That way if you ever need to disassemble anything, you can just unplug the JDM switch. He pointed you to a harness which will give you the connector to use with the JDM switch.

My idea was similar but my source is different. Check https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=134417

I haven't done my conversion yet. But you'll have to be handy with electrical circuits to wire the switch up so it lights up.

Also search this forum for "jdm fog" and you'll come up with more info about wiring in the JDM fog lights.

ive searched and I only found 1 helpful thread under the tech section...but like my original question asked, how do I get the lights ON without having to have the headlights on as well. im going to use my own swtich instead which will have an LED to let me know when its on/off ...so how do these get wired to turn on w/o the headlights, again?
