Default HELP!Monroe Sensatrak to Koni Adjustable...Is it worth it???

Hi, People...

This is the first time that I am posting on this forum...I have been on this forum for sometime now, and I have been reading other people's posts which was very useful to me in modding my box...but now I have a question, that I can't seen to find the answer by just reading other peoples post...so here is my situation:

When I first got my box, I loved it, but after a week, I just can't handle the rough ride on the freeways...it was horrible compare to my other car (Mercedes C-class and its lowered). I know I can never get the box to ride like the mercedes but I want to get as close to it as possible...so I started my research on this forum, then i found out that most of the people are switching to Monroe, and I immediately went to Kregen's and I order a set of strut/shock for the box...at first I was happy with it, cuz it was a lot better then the stock ones, but now I am thinking if there is anyhting else out there that can be better than the Monroe for our box...

so I started my search again, and now I found out about the Koni yellows which is 16 ways adjustable...I am thinking about buying these, and put it all way to the softest setting to try to improve the ride quality...so here is my questions to see if people can help me to make a smart decision.

1) Is there anyone on these forum that had the chance to experience the Monroe and Koni on their box, and what is your opinion of the two? from Monroe to Koni...is it a lot better, somehow better, or no difference?

2) If I do change it, should I buy the koni strut&shock or just the shocks for the rear? If I go this way, it means that I will be using Monroe in the front and Koni in the back, would this be good for the car?

3)how does the Koni adjust? do you need any special tools to adjust the setting of the shocks

so I guess these are my questions...of course, any input is welcome...If at the end, I decide to get the Koni's...I will be dumpping the Monroe's for CHEAP...I mean DIRT CHEAP...and I believe they only have about a little over 5000 miles on them...so please do share your opinion, sorry for the long post and thanks in advance.....

While this may be true, the Koni's still ride more comfortably than stock (@ near full soft). The Koni's provide a controlled ride, not a harsh ride.

The McPhersons at geared for a smooth ride -- period. The Konis are indeed adjustable, and can be made firm or soft.

If you're looking for performance, it seems the Konis would be the best combo of ride and performance, whereas the McPhersons will probably only upgrade the ride.

I'm a moron. I mean Monroes.

If you want the best ride -- period -- get the Monroes. People seem to be really happy with them.

macpherson usually refers to the type of suspension it is. not a brand.

Depends on what floats your boat. The Koni's are really nice shocks. They are of the same category as the Mercedes shocks on your C-class (which are probably Bilsteins). You mensioned, ride like your Mercedes....well......an XB will probably never do that as the suspension design is budget stuff.
