Shouldn't be a problem at all. In fact, I have never run hubcentric rings at all. Never had a problem either. Proper installation and a good balance have always worked for me.

Metal or plastic they do the same thing. I always use them just to make sure the wheels run true. Plus it takes some of the load off the lugs and places it on the hub center as intended.

Actually, plastic Rings are better than Aluminum because they don't corrode when they get wet...quite often Aluminum will fuse to the wheel and make it very difficult to remove them...so if you have a choice, deffinately go for Plastic Hubcentric Rings.

Default Silly Newbie Question

I've barely had my xA long enough to poke around on it...so, are the EP-10's Hubcentric?
Or do I only have to worry about getting rings when I buy different rims?

That depends on what wheel you purchase???? The wheels I have cause a vibration at high speeds so I purchased plastic rings off ebay for $14 shipped. The OEM ring is 53mm, my wheels are 73mm (I think) so I have 20mm of "space" between my wheel and the hub.

I intend on getting them installed during my next oil change/balance/rotate at the stealership and taking it for a test drive above 80mph - actually I'm going to have their master tech do it (same guy that mounted/installed my wheels).

Scion is 'hubcentric' with a 54.06 (54.1) diameter hub.
