MA has a similar law. My xB just had 2 self-tapping screw holes drilled into the front bumper center. I thought that the dealer just drilled them by eyeballing their locations.

But, when I took the bumper cover off I noticed that the screw locations are molded into the bumper. There are 2 reinforcments for the screw threads molded in the back. And they have indentations in them so they can be drilled out and they'll be perfectly aligned on the bumper.

same in california.. cops love to pull people over for not having it on their front bumper.

You'll still get a ticket even if you have the plate on your dashboard..

Lucky you!

Dealer just drilled mine before I could mention it. Get an offset bracket. Looks cool and if the plate comes off, no visible holes.

I got mine in Indiana, so the front plate was not installed. When I moved to IL, I got this:

CLICK ME (eBay link)

It's mounted to the underside of the lower lip, which required drilling holes into it. They are drilled in the underside, impossible to see without being under the car.

I know there's a thread on this in the tech section, but this is more up-to-date.

Has anybody found a relocator kid that fits on a billet grill? I have an RS1 xb, not drilled, with a triple billet grill and I need a kit to fit that.

I don't supposed drilling holes into the bottom lip (as the link max provided indicates) would be so bad, but i'd still like to avoid that.
