Looks like 3,500-5k just for the body/suspension damage PLUS the work of the graphic artist.

Im putting a bid in at around 5500.00 to 6500.00, New 1/4, maybe a repair on the liftgate, you're gonna have inner structural damage, rear body panel is dead, may have to replace the rear floor. We had a BCP came into our shop hit the same way, it was an Mercury Ins Claim, was roughly 4 grand to fix.

That surprised me too, normaly most ins comp wont pay for any a/m or custom stuff. they didnt pay for my Fabtech kit in my Ranger when I wrecked it, and I had special coverage on it too.
Who knows, if the ins comp does something that seems odd to you, call in the DOI...that'll make thier skin crawl... to the DOI Gods.... wokka wokka

I'm guessing between 6500 and 9000 counting paint because they will have to repaint the back door and basicly one quarter, replace a quarter inner structure, suspension floor pan, bumper possibly hatch, so painting 1 quarter fully, blending a quarter and door

by law they have to repair it to preaccident condition, I've had to clean spilled soup out of floorboards because it was dumped during the accident, its the shop's job to return it to preaccident condition, if my car gets wrecked though it sure as hell ain't gettin fixed at my current work, I'll take it to my old boss who paints outside of a booth and gets 100 times better paintjobs then what my "professional" company does because they are quantity not quality, if you want the work done right, where the painter is truely proud of his work, you take the car to a mom and pop's shop

Ins companies will certainly pay to restore your car to preloss condition...IF!!... you are the claimant not the insured. You own policies collison may limit your coverage of A/M stuff custom paint etc, but when you are the injured party such exclusions (even tho the policy owner may have to live with them) do not apply to you. State Farm BTW is one of the best, fairest in the industy overall.

yea your lucky I'm going to leave the auto industry soon I think I hate being stuck as an f'in porter because I'm too well trained, I'll go be a machinist and make 35k a year starting out, I nearly wrecked my box this morning some idiot in an elantra pushed a monte into the median on the freeway this morning(80mph) they managed to catch it before they slid back infront of me and corrected, either way I woulda been hurt bad and so would they, and it woulda been my fault

(Now is this considered anti-steering? Im at a family owned and operated single business....we dont let the ins comp tell us what to do.... S/F launched that "new" program.....what a laugh.)

I'd have to agree 100% Mom and Pop shops do it for quality, Corp and Insurance owned shops do it for quantity.

Yeah being an independant myself, I don't let Ins companies dictate what I will and will not do.. Unfortunately that means when a person has a crappy Ins Co. that they may have to pay the difference for a complete top notch repair. I am a direct repair facility for State Farm. In my case this means I write the estimate, fix the car and send them the bill, which they pay in about 10 days ( they get no discounts either). There are some other companies that I would not consider any direct relationship with even if they paid me extra...Progressive and Geico come to mind...oh yeah and Safe Auto...there are others less mentionable in their cheapness.
