INSURANCE-boston
i saw a recent post on insurance, but this is more specific, im 16 live in boston, only had my license for four months lol, im expecting around 1500 a yr, from a quote, but i know people that have been to that same insurance and said they've found cheaper, so if your from boston, even if you over sixteen, please tell me what your insurance is, i just got an 07 scion tc, and they are waiting for my insurance
if you can get insuarnce for $1500, let me know what company and Ill switch right away!!! But most likely your looking a $2500+ since your 16, have a new car, and live in the ghetto...
ya bro...you'll be paying out the a$$ till you're at least 25...
I commuted for years in and out of Boston...it's wicked expensive...why do you think I moved to N.H. And like Mr. Bird told you...you already have three strikes against you...new car, 16 years old, and in the city (I won't say ghetto)...take the 1500 and run...

I must be the luckiest in the group; IIRC, it's under $900, but I have an absolutely PERFECT record (no tickets, no accidents for over 6 years [in reality, none ever]). I guess that establishes the lower bound for insurance costs.
Hopefully that legislature they passed this year (including a 11.7% rate cut in 2007) will make things a bit more sane. AFAIK, Geico, AIG, etc. don't want to do business in Massachusetts because of the way the state sets the rates, and other related factors.

After 6 years with a perfect record, your rate drops drastically and you get a much more realistic premium.
it drops a little after the 3 year mark too. Mine dropped $900 which was great, but even after that Im still at a rediculous $2300 with a perfect record.

obviously after 6 years and perfect driving record your rates drop drastically... the lady told me in 1.5 yrs my premium will go from $2300 to $900... because I will have a perfect driving record also...
i get it now, my insurance broker is my unlce, so he must be doing something, maybe an employee discount, because i have worked for him, lol ill see, im sooo mad right now, i should have picked up my car yesterday, but the clair scion still hasnt faxed my info and the car info to the insurance, should i call back, or ami too impatient
if I wouldve got my license at 16, then my insurance would be low. But I got license at 18 so I have another year before it drops. Also have a clean record.
I have Metlife only because I get a 6% discount thru work.
