Default Real Monroe Shocks SCION XB Part #

I just called Monroe Corp. to see if they are ever gonna make shocks for us and he whipped out these part numbers.

front 72245

rear 5601

He said they must be very new. I didn't even find it posted on thier site.

This is pretty cool.

I just called Sears and they know nothing about it.

I wonder if they can be ordered direct from Monroe?

I should of asked the guy on the phone at Monroe.

I just looked up Monroe.com and found the phone number.

Any body else wanna call them?

Well unfortunately, it is a typo on their site. Apparently there is a set of Rancho shocks with the same numbers and they somehow got confused. According to Monroe those are not actually out yet.

No idea how these compare to the Echo Sensatracs we have been using, but I'm sure that someone will give them a try, eh?

I have a request for information in to Monroe asking about the difference in specs between the 5987 and the 5601. I'll let y'all know if I get any info back.

Thanks Tomas. I'd be interested in knowing the difference since everyone likes the 5987s so much.

In the meantime Advanced Auto Parts is having a Monroe sale. I just called my local store: $52.42 for the pair. Guess I'm getting these sooner than later.

I called Monroe today and they admitted they exist.

But they are not available yet for the fourth quarter which is now.

Maybe later in the month?

I'm mostly interested if they are nice and soft like the 5987s. If they are then later I'll swap over all 4 corners.

5987's make the car even lower?

I don't want to go any lower than I am now.
