Default E-brake light on!!

The other day I had my ebrake on in the cold and probably shouldn't have. Afterwards I was able to disengage it with no problem, but the light remains on. Is there a sensor or switch that could be stuck on? I am still able to apply the brake and take it off with no effect on the light... Any help would be most appreciated as to what the problem is. -Thanks

check your brake fluid, it may simply be low or even have absorbed some moisture which will trigger the light.

I hadn't though of that. I was convinced that it was something frozen... I will look into that though, thanks. Is there anything else I should look at or check?

The brake light is also triggered by a switch that actuates when you pull up the handle. Perhaps it is stuck. I have not looked at this myself yet . I would assume that it is located in the console at the rear of the ebrake ratchet, rather than somewhere along the ebrake cables.
