Default Tein Springs

Hello I just joined... but for some time I have been compairing springs and I think I have desided on Tein Stechs. How do they compare to the stock springs for the stiffness?

They will be a little stiffer. Some people get Monroe Sensormatic shocks to compensate. I personally do not mind the ride.

They're great. Compared to the stock springs, they're obviously more stiff. But it's more stiff on my XB because of the wheels, too. I'm running 18" wheels on 35 series tires, and it's OK. I'm planning a rear shock swap to the Monroe's that will really smooth out the ride, from what I hear.

I have them and like them for daily driving. I wouldn't mind something a bit stiffer every now and then, but overall I am very happy with them. You really can't go wrong with them, IMHO unless you're looking for a really big drop and more stiffness; in which case you'll want coilovers.

Tein S-Tech's + Monroe Sensatrac 5987's = Sweet Ride....

the ride quality to me is better than stock....but that is just my opinion....
if you want a good ride and can't afford coilovers or bags....you can't beat the setup...

I bought my S-Techs at my local shop for $145 and the Monroes on rockauto.com for
$71 shipped....

The shop wanted $130 to install the springs...! Yeah right! I'm kind of a DIYer
anyway....2 hours tops....and the shocks take about 20minutes....(really)

Thanks to all on the site that recommended this setup to me....

probably a little bit of a difference...DF210's will be slightly lower....mixed reviews on ride quality...i don't think you'll go wrong with either one....

tein basics for 585? or is that the coils + the 585 installation fee?

that sounds too cheap to be true.

i highly recommend tein springs, they offer a good spring rate and decent ride comfort.
