Is an Alignment Needed
After installing lowering springs Tein S and the TRD shocks/struts will an alignment be needed? I am trying a 18 wheel and tire package that has more offset than the tire shop says will fit, but after a few calls by the guy at the store he had found out that there were a few shops that had used the same wheel an it was very close on the rear shock. He was unsure how it would be affected by lowering so he suggested I have the car lowered before we fit the wheels and also suggested an alignment. If I do need an alignment does anyone know the stock settings? Thanks for any help
Can't help with the stock setting, however, any time you take a vehicle suspension apart, you should always have the vehicle aligned, and any good alignment shop should have the required specifications on file!

I had mines aligned and I did put in the camber bolts also so it could be aligned. And yes anytime you touch your suspension you should have it check. if you dont have the camber bolts they sometimes just adjust the toe. Toe is what kills your tires
Lowering changes the toe because the relationship between the steering rack and the spindles changes. It may steer straight but there will be excessive toe in.
There is a little adjustment for camber due to the mfg. tolerances, I just push the top of the tire in as far as it will go then tighten the strut bolts. That will give you a slight amount of camber, about .5-.75+deg., it will help your handling slightly and not cause excessive wear. I like my toe set at 1/16" total. These are my preferences, use at your risk (legal discalimer). Many shops will not use any settings other than stock due to fear of a lawsuit.
