Default New Wheels...Konig Rewinds 56k ok

I finally got some wheels. I guess I should share my information and some pictures since the posts over the past year helped me greatly in choosing wheel and tire sizes.

Wheels: Konig Rewinds - 15x7 - 4x100 - +20 offset
Tires: Yokohama AVID V4S P205/55R-15
Purchased as a set from Discount Tire Direct. Great experience. They were out of stock, but the packages were sitting on my porch in under two weeks.

I absolutely love the look of my box now. The wheels/tires were sunk into the fenders before and now they are as flush as I had hoped. There is no rubbing. I really think this +20 offset is perfect for the xBs. I haven't seen too many people go with the Rewinds, but I think they only made a 0 offset and a +40 offset previously. Maybe a few more people will pick them up now that they are +20.

Pictures below. Yes, it is filthy. I am washing it tomorrow. I'm sure I'll hear some "Drop it" comments. I don't know. I really like how it looks right now, so I am not in a rush to lower it. Maybe when the initial fascination wears off, I'll think about it. And I can currently change my oil without even lifting it. I don't think I'll be able to do that if I get S Techs or coilovers.

Edit: Added close-up picture of wheel. Polished lip with silver spokes.

I always thought the Rewinds (especially 16") were pretty much the wheel that should've been put on the xB from the factory. The size and offset are perfect. Nice.

Looking good! Your pics helped me decide on the setup I'm going to go with.

Looks like I'm getting 10mm shims/spacers when I get my rims

Glad that my information could help someone else. Feels like I'm returning the favor from all of the information that I have gathered from this site. What wheels are you going with?

I'm going with some Drags. They're +40 offset so mine won't be as flush as yours heh

NICE!

I just ordered these for the SMS xB!

Although I went with +40 up front and +20 for the rears. As soon as the wheels come in...the xB is getting dropped on Sportlines and KYBs. We are going to completely put the car together.

That looks great. I'm glad to see it not lowered too, as I'm not planning on doing it. I'm sticking with 15s and it gives me a good idea what wheels will look like on the box.

I've never looked twice at the Rewinds because I thought they were fugly, but they look incredible on the XB. I wonder if they make the graphite with a +20 offset? If they do, I think I've found my next major purchase.

synthetic - What is the SMS xB? Is that a certain color? I see you have a Polar White so I don't get it.

Monoxide - Glad to hear that I changed your opinion. They are not the flashiest or the lightest wheels on the market, but they look great in my opinion. I can not believe how much better my box looks now that I am not on the black steel wheels. I'm not into the whole 18" and 19" scene with chrome. These also have more spokes and it does a good job of hiding the rear drum brakes. Nothing fancy to see back there so why show it off?

Excellent choice, perfect offset, and in my opinion you picked the ideal tire size for this car.
I've been toying with the idea of a set of MiniLites on mine since the day I bought it. These are a very similar look.

I never did see these listed on the DDD web page, and I just checked again and they still do not show a 15" Konig Rewind for the box. I guess anyone that wants them will have to call to order.

Anybody know what the fitment of these wheels would be like on an xA (lowered on Prolines?)

Has "soon" arrived yet ? I would like to see how they look on your box before I decide what to order.

Thanks,
Dennis

Haven't seen your box in the parking lot at work to get an up close view. They look hot, I like.

No, they do not rub. I turned the wheel both ways to full lock to check. It is close to rubbing the back of the fender, but it must have been like that with the stock wheels as well because the diameter of this wheel/tire setup is very close to the original size.

Brooks - You can check out my car in the left (lower) lot. It is usually there from 7:40 to 5:00. It looks like you lowered and put your wheels on. I'll have to look for yours as well.
