Konig Rewind 15x7 +20 Issues?
Good Morning - I haven't seen too many people running Konig Rewinds on this site, but does anyone have a similar setup with a 7" wide wheel with an offset near +20. I am curious if I am going to rub on the brakes or suspensions components. This is my first time buying aftermarket wheels so go easy on this noob.
I created an Excel calculator to help with my decision. A screen shot is provided below. If anyone is interested in messing with the file, PM me. If it is helpful, maybe ScionLife (Darren) could host it somehow or use the formulas to build an interactive page. That is if my calculations are correct...
Option 1 below is the Konig Rewind 15X7 with a +20 offset. Option 2 is the currently popular SportMax 501. The only thing that concerns me is the (0.21) inch impact to the inside. Do I have cause for concern? I should be getting the wheels Tuesday so I'll find out for sure. I just wanted to know so I can buy spacers if needed.

I was thinking about getting those, but I already ordered the Konig Rewinds. They're actually being delivered on Tuesday. I wasn't too clear about that in the original post. Any thoughts?
Not sure about brakes - I've read that later model xBs have slightly larger calipers. From the way the spokes don't curve in too much, my guess is that they will clear the calipers.
You definitely won't rub on the suspension. Outside (fender side) should be fine too unless you are super low and/or have oversized tires, but even then, it would only rub a tiny bit.
May I ask where you got the wheels from? and how much?

I picked mine up from Discount Tire Direct. They were not in stock, but the operator called Konig and they confirmed that they could make/ship them to me within about two weeks. $119 per wheel with free shipping. I got tires at the same time.
Stankubrick - Thanks for the info. I'm not concerned at all about the outside (fender side). I went with 205/55s and it is not currently lowered. As seen in my chart the 501s come out an additional .70" and people don't have rubbing issues with those.
Please notice that I have updated the chart at the top. How is it that the 501s do not have trouble fitting while the Oldskool's have clearance issues? The Oldskool's are .40" farther away from the center of the vehicle. Not trying to get off topic about the Rewinds, but it may help me understand if I will have clearance issues. Thanks again for the info.
I'll be sure to add this wheel size and offset to the Tire/Wheel sticky when I get them.

I'm an idiot. I think I am misreading my own chart. The Oldskool's are having issues because they are going an additional half inch toward the center of the vehicle. I can see how that would have rubbing issues. The Konig Rewinds actually go .21" away from the brake and suspension toward the outside of the vehicle. Unless I am not thinking correctly, I don't know how these wheels would have a rubbing issue.
All your specs are generally safe. The one wild card that can be unpredictable is brake clearance due to spoke design. That's why higher-end custom wheels add an extra measurmant of brake clearance (i.e. Work wheels "O" or "A" disk options, etc).
You can have two sets of wheels with the exact same diameter, width and offset, but may fit differently because of spoke design. Ususally, it's the "old-school" style wheels or "cup" design wheels that design their spokes for smaller brake calipers and/or to maximize lip size. From what I've seen of the design, these Konigs look like they'll be fine. I've seen them on MINIs (with bigger brakes than xBs, I think) and they fit perfectly.

Thanks, stankubrick. I understand what you are saying. Good information that you're providing. I'll just have to find out on Tuesday. Thanks again. You have been most helpful.
Just wanted to give some closure to this post. The wheels/tires fit great without any rubbing issues. They are as flush as I had hoped. Separate post with pictures located at:
