Default Brakes xA - Locking Up Skidding out of control

I was wondering if anyone is having a Locking Up Problem on their xA or has had the Master Cylinder go out. Intermittent problem happens with no warning signals, front end nose dives and car starts skidding to the right, currently has 13000 miles has been having problem since 962 miles brake pads changed at 5K and again at 9K at the same time as master cylinder was changed, brake pads currently are at 5m front and 2m rear the car continues to lock up causing major front end damage from the asphalt it scrapes on...
are we the only one with this problem....please reply

The brakes shouldn't be locking up since the car comes standard with abs. Should all be covered under warranty. Problem is most likely the abs module.

The ABS according to Scion FTS inspectors is working fine, the brakes randomly lock up the Master Cylinder Brake Pads and Rotor Turned was covered under warranty the problem is this has not solved the problem.

keep taking it back to the dealer...the car is a hazard on the road. they have to fix it.

so you damaged it skidding into a curb? yeah, that isn't a warranty repair issue. but yeah, you got to get that fixed. you could try taking it to a different toyota dealership.

Actually the curb was the only way to stop the vehicle or go threw a very busy intersection, The Master Cylinder was stuck engaged on the right when they changed it and they said that was why it would skid to the right but that was changed could it be no good again???

don't know. but i suppose if it is skidding to the right, for some reason the right brakes are getting more braking power than the left ones.

It seems that the damage should be covered as well, it was caused by the defect. That fight might not be worth fighting, depending on what documentation you have... But, good luck and let us know!

I actually picked up some parts out of the street that fell off the car and they reinstalled them for me at no charge so I do have documentation for some reason documentation appears to mean nothing.

That sounds more like the mileage we normally get on a set of pads on all of our other cars and even more on the rear, I am going on the third set on the front at 13K.

No, that is flat out wrong. Even if the driver rode with their foot on the brake, you'd be hard pressed to wear out 3 sets of pads that fast....have the rotors hot spotted?

I'd try another dealer or at least get an inspection from an independant mechanic about the cause of this. You don't play with brakes.

I would also take it to a different dealer. It seems the current one is not fixing your problems. I'm not sure what to say, but if the dealer has been doing all your brake work, I would beholding them responsible for the damages as well and demanding a rental until the problem was properly solved.
