Default stock tire sizes

Is it OK to use P185/65R15's
instead of the stock P185/60R15's
for a 2004 Scion XB?

It's a substantial savings, but I don't want to do something stupid.

Thanks,
Rocky

That size should be fine. It is only a 3% larger than stock. it will cause the speedo to read 3% low and record 3% less mileage as a result. My tires are 3.5% oversize I see no major performance change from this, perhaps just a slight bit less initial low end (a little bit harder to leave a standstill with the manual trans).

You can use a 205/55-15 tire on the stockers without a problem too. It's a little wider & pretty much the same overall diameter as stock. There are lot of nice tires in that size too. ( ^_^)

Actually the 185/65/15 was the stock size for the bB in Japan. For some reason we got the smaller 60 series???
