big THANKS!! i printed it, saved it on my external drive and laptop for future reference, this is great!
u just gotta be careful when you take that tranny off, that thing is hella heavy! when we did our honda civic, we ran out of jacks/jackstands so we had to hoist it off the strut bar, haha. ghetto, but got it done in about 6 hours.

I think this job can be done by anyone with a on a scale of 1-10 a 5 mechanical ability. Ive done two civics and it took around 5 hours for each one. The tranny was acutally really light probably like 70 lbs. The one fell off of the jack when we lowerd it but I had a hand on it and kept if from hittin the ground. Im sure this tranny is close to the same weight. The only thing I dont understand is the Im guessing crush washers on the drive shafts were it meets the hub? Any input on this? I will be doing mine in 2 months...once i get back from afganistan!

Well, I had mine done today, I bought a stage 2 Competition Clutch. But they called to tell me that the car wouldn't start up. I do have an alarm & music & he was saying how alarms can sometimes be good, but at times cause problems. They checked the fuses, the battery, it has a full tank of gas, it cranks, but it just doesn't start up. I don't know what else to check.. Any ideas of what the problem might be? The car came into the shop being able to start.

so it kinda comes down to what sensors they either left unconnected or damaged the sensors while installing and/or removal. thats my best guess.

Great write up! I'm a loooooong way off from having to replace my clutch (or upgrade), but it's nice to see all that's involved. I think I"ll find a lift and impact tools for this task. Hand tools and jack stands on the front sway install was enough for me.

hey guys sorry to keep you waiting. so it turns out the shop i took it to didn't know what they were doing when unpluging ish. the clutch install was ok but they burn my ecm. what a drag. took it to the dealer and they put a new one in. hopefully i'll get it 2morrow but its crazy. they said the shop pluged in something wrong and bang fried my ecm

yeah when my dealer did my clutch upgrade to a CC stage 2 with 12lb flywheel they screwed up as well... left the intake hose loose on the manifold side, and failed to reconnect a vac line. car was running with a CEL and running lean for 2 days before I got everything secured properly with the help of the club's tech. all is well now thankfully.

I've put about 20,000 miles on my Fidanza Flywheel and Spec Stage 2 clutch. A couple of little things, I did end up replacing my tranny fluid with Motul gear oil(with ester for better lubrication) because shifting into third was wierd every once in a while - problem solved. The clutch release bearing that came with the clutch was a PITA to get on to the input shaft, I ended grinding a 1/16" off of the inside - it whizzes evryonce in a while.
All and all the Flywheel itself has been wonderful. No issues with it. I feel like you do lose a little bottom end excelleration, but once that bastard is spinning in high RPM .......................................later!
Hope this helps,
Scott C.

Great write up. My clutch has 88k on it and about 17k are boosted. Just got my Comp Stage 4 yesterday and I am hoping to install it this weekend using this and the write-up from YourSciontC.com
One question though, I read in the other one about getting a new axle nut. In this walkthrough, it doesn't say anything about that. Is it safe to assume that you didn't remove the axle nut and left it attached to the hub, then just popped out the end of the axle coming from the diff?
