you can not flex it by hand. This bar is super sturdy..way sturdier then my POS trd strut bar.

well thats good. im just debating if i should risk getting the ebay (knock off DC strut bar) strut bar or just save up and getting an aftermarket one.

does it really make a difference? the way our struts looks it seems pretty stable even w/o a bar. Ive heard reviews that they dont notice any after strut bar is installed on the tc

You really dont notice any difference since our strut bars are bolted on, not welded on. However I did notice a very slight difference with the DME strut bar when I had it on my ride. The front felt a tiny bit more stable around corners compared to my TRD strut bar which is weak. I feel like i can bend the TRD bar with my toes.

i dont know how strong other bars are, but my DME only flexes the smallest amount if i basically lean my full weight on it. im a big guy, trust me.

I find this hard to believe. The DME bar is super sturdy. Trust me, if you flex it..it will be permanently warped. So I dont believe this to be the right term but you can even tell that the welding on the bar is quality. The bar utilizes 3 points instead of the traditional 2 points on common tower bars.

ah, i didn't make myself clear, i wasn't being critical of my front DME bar. actually i love the damned thing! it's sturdy, good looking, and is an effective bolt-on IMO.

Anyone else have a hard time popping off the wipers??
And how do I reach the top left piece in this picture without the use of an adjustable?

Not sure what dave did but there is this piece that hangs over it making it unreachable?

on the wiper there is a plastic cover, under that is a scew. Unscrew it and the wiper comes right off. Take both off and then pop the plastic off and you have plenty of room.

Yeah even after I pop off the plastic and the nut.. BOTH wipers are still stuck on there pretty tight.. Seems nobody else has this problem?

And thanks dave haha

^ your using a ratchet? spray some wd40 on them and let it sit for 5min - spray a tad more - let sit for 5min - then try.

Eh a ratchet? I used a flathead to take off the plastic clip and a socket wrench to take off the nut? My problem is that when both the clip and the nut are off, when I tug on the wipers they do not budge haha. I'll try some PB Blaster though, thanks!

yea you kinda have to squeeze it in there but once you get it in there, you dont have to ever worry about removing the it because the bar can be removed by itself

thanx for the pics!!

i just put a DC strut bar on mine and it took like 15 minutes.
but i had to run up the parts store to get a couple of the cheap a$$ plastic clips cause 3 outta 4 crumbled as i took them out. i got 4 more for 6$ at the part store and threw them in.
i recommend getting new clips b4 you install and save the hassle of going to the store to get them after
$110 for the dc strut bar from jc whitney and $6 for the clips. and 15 minutes of labor. tools needed a flat head screwdriver 2 socets and and 2 hand wrenches. and some window cleaner to clean under where the winsdhield plastic
