Tough choice...
Found a nice little original 1969 Corona coupe the other day. Baby blue with original paint... it was in pretty decent condition, and for sale. The guy wanted $2000 OBO. I lowballed at $1500 thinking he would be firm, but he accepted. I really had to think about it... and finally decided that I would want to restore it and it would end up costing me an arm and a leg. (perfectionist) I passed on it. Did I make a mistake?
What were the specs 'coz at that time this cars were known as the RT43 for the 4-door sedan and the RT52 for the 2- door coupe. I consider the car HISTORIC VEHICLE.

Yeah, it looked just like that. The guy told me that it was a fairly rare car... and I do WANT it, but if I buy it I know I am going to sink $$$ into it that I will never get back. If I'm buying a project car then I at least want to have some fun. (See my post in the Cressida forum for more on that)
I still see Cressidas around, maybe 2 or 3 a week on the road but the Corona...those are rare to spot nowadays.
I remember growing up riding in a Cressida back in P.I. and they were considered as a "luxury car" then.
I'll check out your post in the Cressida section.

If anyone in the Portland OR area is interested in a 69 Corona in good condition I can still get ahold of the guy. He was will to take $1500. I wish I had pics, but it was maybe a B- condition.
