The 5 door HB is heavier than the coupe - but maybe the 3 door HB is lighter than the coupe.

The HB comes with a lot more power features (locks and windows) which ads weight to the car.

The Vitz is the same thing, it is an Echo, xA, and xB. The Vitz is the Echo hb in Canada

Default My Echo

I recently bought my first car... a silver 4 door 2003 Toyota Echo. I got the basic one, it only has a radio and the windows are not even tinted. But I see it as a blank canvas that I trick out anyway that I want too. I am going to put in a kicking cd player... tint the windows... cool hubcaps (maybe rims)... and finally as a silver glitter top coat to the paint job so it will sparkly. All my internal acessories are going to pink and girly... just like me... soon as I am finish I am gonna post pictures.
I am so excited!! Go Echo! Go Echo!

Sorry for post here, but echofans is down right now...

I am painting the VVT-i cover and am wondering if it is safe, temperature wise to use clear-coat. I am asking because the clear-coat I have doesn't list a maximum temp.

I would think it would't be too hot, but would like reassurance...

Thanks.

I used to have an Echo... 2002 Bought in Oct-2002. Put almost 55,000 miles on it by Nov-2004. And that's without driving it between Nov-2003 until March-2004... As of Nov-2004 I have my 2005 xA RS 1.0 #0194.

thanks (I think I missed the boat a little though, its been over a month since the last post!)
I like this forum because of the traffic, there wasn't enough on Echofans to be honest. I've been hanging here the last week or so.

I love my 1st gen xB so much, I bought an 04 Echo 5 door HB 5 speed for a winter beater - it's essentially a mini xB!

Any Echo owners out there?
