Default Ideas for new Scion XB

I'd like to see seats that are configurable like the Honda Fit.

I would like to see the paint improved.

I like the space in my car but I would like a more aero dynamic front to increase MPG and reduce wind noise.

All of these are feasible and wouldn't add too much cost IMO. I'd sacrifice the reconfigurable seats if it added too much cost but the areodynamics need to improve greatly. Perhaps they can get another 8 MPG on the highway.

I would also like a little place where you could easily add guages. Idiot lights are pretty weak, but I don't want my car looking like a ricer with all these weird guages. A temp guage would suffice.

What about a long XB for people with bigger families, could the squeeze a 3rd row of seats? With reconfigurable cars this vehicle could rule. Gas mileage would be by far the best for a 7 people mover.

naw, just a bigger engine choice, like different motor options, that's the only improvement it needs, its a box

I think the box is good and should remain it's present size. I do think that an XL XB would also be popular. Put a Corrolla motor in it with better areo.

I was thinking about this the other day
Id like to see them put better glass on the widshield or at least offer an upgrade to a tinted or coated PPG glass
Knock on wood I dont have a crack yet, but I do have several pits from pebbles hitting it on the highway.
That windshield seems to be a "magnet" for rocks & pebbles
I had one hit this past friday and I thought for sure it was gonna crack it but its just a good pit. Im sure in the winter when its cold & Im running the defroster itsa gonna crack
Id also like to see engine options and better gearing

If you have a small crack you better get it repaired ASAP or it WILL grow to an ugly crack. Pay someone or buy a kit. The Scion glass is the thinnest Ive ever seen on a car. I wonder how much money they save per car making the glass so thin. Maybe they make a lot of money on replacement windshields.

the aerodynamics were discussed (by you, Kanatoa, I think) on another thread. There, someone pointed out that an xA doesn't get 8 mpg better than and xB, but it does have much better aerodynamics. 8 mpg just isn't going to happen that way. A more efficient engine and/or a lighter car is needed in addition.

The aerodynamics are much better than you think.

Nah, if Scion really went to work on improving areo dynamics the Scion would definintly get 8 or more MPG. Look at some of the other low Cd cars like the MB box fish. it gets 80 MPG on the HWY.

No, I want a truck. There's a picture of a custom one. If found, I'll post it.

I have very few complaints, a little more power would be good and how about the clear-tape bra as an option? Lastly, where are the maplights in the front for gosh sakes....
